This past November I only got around to watching 15 films (first viewings), mainly for reasons that I have addressed in similar posts the past few months. Next month I should have more time, therefore I should be able to watch a bigger variety of stuff.
But I can’t really say I had a bad month when I watched the film that could very well be remembered as Steven Spielberg’s crowning achievement, a brand new Disney masterpiece, and what could be Alfonso Cuaron’s greatest achievement so far. Speaking of Cuaron, I also watched his debut, and you can definitely tell he had yet to find his footing as it is one of two out-right terrible films I saw this year.
Anyways, read on to see the top five films I saw this past November:
1. Lincoln (Steven Spielberg, 2012)
2. Wreck-It Ralph (Rich Moore, 2012)
3. A Little Princess (Alfonso Cuaron, 1995)
4. Skyfall (Sam Mendes, 2012)
5. Life of Pi (Ang Lee, 2012)
Worth Mentioning: Arthur Christmas (Sarah Smith, 2011), Take This Waltz (Sarah Polley, 2012), The Campaign (Jay Roach, 2012)
Best Rewatch: Kill Bill, Vol. 1 (Quentin Tarantino, 2003)
Worst: Rock of Ages (Adam Shankman, 2012), Solo Con Tu Pareja (Alfonso Cuaron, 1991)
